Build and Race CO2 Dragsters!

You will begin with the design process to plan your own dragster. Create a balsa wood dragster to race others in a CO2 drag race and take home with you. See how different design plans finish faster and also identify design flaws.  *NOTE: This will be a two day class. Tuesday July 12th from 9:30-11:30am participants will begin the design process, plan, and apply their idea to the balsa wood.  Thursday July 14th class will be longer from 10:30am-2:30pm. First part of the class will be completing the build of the dragster and finishing touches of design. Break and lunch will be had. (Please bring your child's lunch and water bottle.) Second part of class we begin the CO2 drag races! Paricipants will be able to take their cars home. (Wednesday July 13th is needed for instructors to cut out the participants cars. This is why this is a split class.)

This class will be taught by Mrs. Carnes! She has taught gateway to technology, flight and space, design and modeling, automation and robotics classes for years to middle school/high school students.

No refunds if unable to attend and liability/safety release will be sign before class begins so arrive a little early please.  Purchase ticket here TICKET.
